What Ferg-AI does
Ferg-AI helps home-service companies coach their technicians. With the customer’s consent, a technician records the conversation during a service visit. Ferg-AI turns that recording into a written transcript, a coaching score, and tips — visible only to that technician and their company’s managers.
Information we collect
- Audio recordings of service-visit conversations, made only after the technician confirms the customer was told and agreed. Recordings are linked to the technician’s account and, when connected, the ServiceTitan job.
- Account information: your name, email address, role, and company.
- Job information from ServiceTitan when your company connects it (job number, customer name, address, sale amount) — used to link recordings to jobs.
- Device information: device name, operating-system version, and app version, so we can support and troubleshoot the app.
How we use it
We use recordings to create transcripts, coaching scores, and coaching tips for your company. We use account and device information to run and support the service. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps and websites.
Who processes it for us
Ferg-AI uses trusted service providers to run the product: Supabase (secure data and file storage), Clerk (sign-in), OpenAI (speech-to-text transcription), Anthropic (coaching analysis), Stripe (billing), Resend (email), and ServiceTitan (only when your company connects it). Each provider receives only what it needs to do its job.
Audio recording
We record audio during field service calls. Recording only begins after explicit customer consent is obtained through our consent gate. Recordings are processed by OpenAI (transcription) and Anthropic (analysis). Recordings are stored in encrypted cloud storage and accessible only to the company that employs the technician.
Consent to record
Recording laws such as California Penal Code §632 require all-party consent. The app requires the technician to confirm the customer was informed and agreed before a recording can start, and stores when and how consent was confirmed with every recording.
Location data
When your company enables job-site detection, we collect device location data during work hours to automatically associate recordings with ServiceTitan job sites. The current version of the app does not collect location data; this section takes effect if and when your company turns that feature on. Location data is not sold or shared with third parties. Location collection is controlled by the employer and disclosed to employees before use.
Employee monitoring
Ferg AI is a B2B platform used by employers to coach field service technicians. Employers are responsible for compliance with applicable employee monitoring laws and for notifying their employees. Ferg AI provides employee notification tools within the app: technicians see a monitoring disclosure at first launch and must acknowledge it before using the app.
Where your data lives and how it’s protected
Data is stored with Supabase in the United States. Audio files live in private storage that only signed-in members of your company can access — technicians can access only their own recordings; managers can access their company’s. All data moves over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
How long we keep it
Recordings and transcripts are kept while your company’s account is active so your team can review coaching history. When a recording is deleted, it stops being visible immediately. Your company can request full removal of its data at any time.
Your choices
Accounts are created by your company (there is no self-serve sign-up). To correct your information, ask your company admin. To request deletion of your account or data, email support@vehix.app — requests are honored within 30 days.
